An initiative of CCE Tijuana, funded by FIDEM and developed by Pictor and PictorLab. This second edition took place on July 30, 2026 and focused on bringing artificial intelligence directly into the operations of two strategic sectors for the border region.

From vision to reality

From inspiration to execution

The second edition marked an evolution of the project: less general conversation about AI and more sector-specific application.

Frontera Futura brought together business owners and operations leaders in two simultaneous rooms, Manufacturing and Maquiladora and Logistics and Infrastructure, with real cases, workshops, discussion panels, Q&A clinics, networking and live demos.

The goal was to provide concrete criteria for deciding where to implement AI, how to integrate it into existing processes and how to measure its impact on operations and the business.

Our way of doing AI

Manufacturing and Maquiladora

The first room addressed challenges directly tied to productivity, quality, downtime, scrap, traceability and automation.

Topics included computer vision, robotics, MES and ERP integration, AI governance, maintenance, and ROI and payback evaluation.

More than a project, a story

Logistics and Infrastructure

The second room focused on transportation, supply chain, warehouses, customs and cross-border operations, exploring AI applications for traffic, yard management, inventory, exception management, ETA, intelligent agents, TMS/WMS/ERP integration, data and cybersecurity.

An experience also powered by AI

Pictor developed the strategy, content, experience, production and digital ecosystem for this new edition.

PictorLab also added Futura, a 24/7 AI copilot that guided each attendee according to their operation, recommended content and helped them build their own path through the Summit.
